What to Expect

- You'llbe working as a part of the Quality team, reporting directly to the Quality Supervisor and/or Manager.
- You will be working with tooling and performing inspections.
- You will work with various functional groups to implement solutions to eliminate or minimize material waste and provide improvement.
- You willbe responsible forleading and directing materialutilizationefforts for product and material processes and willbe responsible forevaluating material waste and opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities (to name a few)
- Use problem solving tools to investigate and correct nonconformities and implement improvement.
- Interface with Engineering, Quality, Tooling, Manufacturing, and otherdepartmentsas necessary.
- Must be able to collect data, providereportsand effectively communicate.
- Must be self-managed and able to schedule work with limited supervision.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.The employee must have regular, reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance.The employee must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime before & after regular hours & shifts, as well as on weekends
- Must be willing to perform other tasks or duties as assigned.
About You
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Computer and software experienceispreferred (suchas,Microsoft Office).
- Experience in the following is preferred: Problem Solving, Error Proofing, Standard Work, SPC, Specification Interpretation and Product Analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is needed.
- Strong teamplayer.Proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions,buildscollaborative relationships.
- Hours must be flexible to accommodate Gates and customer needs. Must be able to perform physical elementsassistin production, (lifting mandrels, box samples, mobility throughout the plant) associated with the job. May require outside travel for education as needed, typically less than 5%.
