RESPONSIBILITIES



  • The Training Instructor position is an FTE position on the Federal Protective Service contract in Philadelphia, Pa. The local office is in Bensalem, PA.
  • Requires a background with a minimum of two years of successful experience in training (civilian community law enforcement, military service law enforcement, or commercial/industrial security force service).
  • Serve as the focal point for multiple contract training compliance requirements and be responsible for overall training quality and standards IAW the SOW.
  • Develop, conduct, and manage academic and practical lessons and training (to include firearms instruction) IAW the SOW.
  • Train, schedule, and manage the training staff conducting the training as required.
  • Work is based in a busy training environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Normal work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 to 5:00, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Travel will be required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 20 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday and standing in a range environment for up to 8 hours.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • The Training Instructor must possess appropriate certifications to perform First Aid, CPR, AED, Police Baton, Oleoresin Capsicum (OC), and firearms instruction.
  • Training Instructors for First Aid, CPR, and AED.
  • Firearms Instructor certifications must be NRA, U S Military, or state or federal law enforcement.
  • Ability to plan training objective, schedule personnel while ensuring contract staffing and operational continuity, maintain training files in compliance with FPS requirements and manage resources within budget.
  • Ability to manage a team of instructors and coordinate multiple training venues occurring simultaneously.
  • Must have an Instructor certification from ARC or AHA.
