Job Summary

The Assembler I is an entry-level position responsible for supporting basic assembly and production activities in a manufacturing environment. This role works under close supervision to assemble parts and sub-assemblies by following clear instructions and established procedures. The Assembler I assists with simple mechanical and electrical tasks, material handling, and packaging, while maintaining quality standards and a clean, safe workspace. No prior experience is required; training will be provided.

Work Experience

No prior experience required. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. On-the-job training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities




  • Receive daily work assignments and instructions from a supervisor or group leader



  • Assemble basic components and sub-assemblies using hand tools and simple power tools



  • Perform simple electrical and mechanical checks, such as ground and dielectric tests, following instructions



  • Assist with soldering and basic material preparation tasks, including cutting insulation and forming wires



  • Load and unload materials and components for furnace brazing processes as directed



  • Support the operation of basic production equipment, including riveters, drill presses, sanders, and grinders



  • Package finished products by making cartons, packing items, and labeling as instructed



  • Inspect work for visible defects and notify a supervisor of any issues



  • Move materials within the work area as needed



  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment




Job Requirements




  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds



  • Ability to work scheduled hours and maintain reliable attendance



  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions



  • Willingness to learn basic assembly and manufacturing processes



  • Basic attention to detail and commitment to quality



  • Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment



  • Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required




Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
