Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Long-term Intern to join our Business Analytics Team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

In this role you will work alongside programs, logistics, organizational support and business analytics to gain valuable work force experience. This position will be involved and assist in many facets of daily operations including but not limited to: Interpreting and understanding program demand analysis, operating SAP, storing contract modifications, performing clerical office duties and project management.

A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Check out one of the seven professional sports teams that also call Dallas home - you may even see a special, custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys flying during home games.

Your Challenges:

Logistics Support: 34%

  • Assist in reviewing / interpreting program demand analysis reports

  • Aide in tracking / expediting material shortages

  • Assist / shadow customer service representatives, repairable team and customer fleet managers

Project Tracking: 33%

  • Help the Military Programs team by updating and tracking organizational projects.

  • Learn, create and streamline key department objectives within the organization.

  • Make notes and updates to project schedules in order to keep schedules up to date.

Clerical Office Duties: 33%

  • Aide the Sr. Admin on organizational communication, storage of contract modifications, team event planning, etc.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • This position will work with industry professionals daily to not only contribute to the organization, but gain real world practical knowledge of how the modern aircraft industry works.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Boarding Pass:

Required:

  • Must be currently local to the DFW metro area as this is a long-term, onsite internship opportunity

  • Must be enrolled in a 4 year applicable program at an accredited University.

  • Completed 2 years of course work towards the terminus degree mentioned above.

  • Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form in English.

  • Ability to use mainframe and PC computers, and associated hardware and software (MS Office especially Excel and Word), SAP (Module MM, PP, Outlook). A proven knowledge of technical terms.

  • 5% Domestic and International Travel involved

  • Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)

Preferred:

  • Preferred Project Management, Logistics, Business, Data Analytics

  • Fluent in French or German.

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite: 95%.

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Required daily.

  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Required daily.

  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Required daily.

  • Equipment Operation: able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment. Required daily.

  • Carrying: able to carry documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs. intermittently

  • Lifting: able to lift documents, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs. intermittently

  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Rarely required.

  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Required daily.

  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Required intermittently

  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Required daily.

  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Rarely required.

  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Required daily.

  • Personal Protective Equipment required: steel toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor
