Position Summary:
Operating automated vision inspection machines to ensure quality of the components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tends or operates automated vision inspection machines according to defined procedures.
  • Observes automated vision inspection machines to ensure quality and conformity to productspecifications.
  • Adjusts machine components and settings according to part/process requirements.
  • Performs preventive maintenance checks and maintenance adjustments as required.
  • Ensures calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
  • Performs product identification and traceability activities, as required.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
  • Works with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions.
  • Follows all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Works extended hours, overtime, or weekends as needed

Must Have:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must have 20/20 correctable vision to perform inspection activities.
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Basic understanding of keyboard, monitor and hard drive, Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).


Good to have:
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in quality inspection/machine operation preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employees willcome in frequent contact with various types of machine oils, lubricants, silicone,and latex.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Work Environment:
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Employee may be required to work long hours exposed to high heat and humidity.


Salary Range: $20.75 per hour.
