Description

This is a paid internship, range of $22/hr - $39/hr (depending on role and qualifications) for those currently pursuing undergraduate degrees and higher rates for those currently pursuing graduate level degrees.

Tentative 2026 Internship Dates:



  • Semester students: May 18th to July 24th

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Capital Delivery Transformation drives improvements in how we plan, manage, and deliver projects. We directly support the project Delivery Teams (i.e. controls, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, value management), track key project and department metrics, streamline processes, and oversee systems such as the Project Management Information System (PMIS) to support efficient and successful project delivery.

The Transformation Analytics Intern will support real-world initiatives that improve how capital projects are tracked, reported, and managed. This role offers meaningful exposure to data-driven decision-making, collaboration across disciplines, and the practical application of analytics and automation tools in a complex public-sector environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB DUTIES:



  • Assist with data preparation, validation, and analysis to support dashboards and reports.
  • Support documentation efforts, including user guides, data glossaries, and process descriptions.
  • Assist with performance reporting and tracking across Transformation initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings, check-ins, and milestone reviews.
  • Communicate findings and progress clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


POTENTIAL PROJECTS:



  • Support development and enhancement of Power BI dashboards for capital project performance.
  • Assist with analytics and reporting for the Contractor Evaluation Tool.
  • Support Procurement and contract tracking tools, ensuring consistency with Transformation standards.
  • Assist with RE Reports and Power BI integration efforts.
  • Develop manuals, training presentations, or reference materials to support tool adoption.
  • Support small automation or low-code enhancements using Microsoft tools (as appropriate).


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must be a current college student in good academic standing, enrolled in an accredited associate, bachelor's or graduate degree program in Data Science, Data Analytics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other technical discipline or relevant two-year certificate.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:



  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to document processes and explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite; exposure to Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience with data visualization or dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI), and Microsoft Power Platform (Power App, Power Automate)
  • Interest in infrastructure, construction, or capital project delivery.
  • Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery approaches.
  • Experience working with data sets and translating data into insights.

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
