Job Description

The Trulaske College of Business Career Services Team has the goal of supporting all business students in growing professionally throughout their time at Mizzou and being successful after graduation. In this Senior Office Support Assistant position, you will connect with students as they learn and grow within Cornell Hall and our office. We support students in learning internship and job search strategies, coordinate connections between students and employers and get to challenge students to build resumes and portfolios that will set them up to achieve their career aspirations at the time of graduation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Communicate professionally via phone, e-mail and in person to students and visitors to the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business Career Services (BCS) department on a daily basis as this role serves as the primary point of contact for the BCS phone as well as e-mail account and is the introductory point of contact for students and employer visitors.
  • Provide organizational structure to employer events hosted by BCS on a daily basis ensuring attendees both students and employers understand logistics prior to arrival as well as throughout the event.
  • Prepare and coordinate materials and logistics for events in working with BCS team. Events are both large and small scale in nature and require organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate to support the development of marketing assets, newsletters, and other communications on behalf of the BCS department. Will also be responsible for the development of assets independently that are in accordance with University of Missouri brand standards using AdobeExpress.
  • Understand student facing marketing channels to collaborate with BCS and Trulaske team members to engage student attendance and participation in planned activities.
  • Maintain organized records of employer contact information who recruit on campus both regularly and infrequently in order to increase our reach to potential employers. Records may be maintained across multiple technology platforms.
  • Manage the BCS presence on various platforms such as LinkedIn and Handshake, etc. Experience preferred or willingness to learn and manage the oversight of these platforms on behalf of BCS.
  • Provide administrative and clerical assistance to ensure smooth daily office operations. This position supports staff, manages basic office tasks, maintains calendars/reservations and helps maintain an organized, efficient work environment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records as requested including the receipt of payments on behalf of BCS and process payments following all fiscal policies as outlined by the University of Missouri subsequent to appropriate training.
  • Assist with positive brand recognition of BCS within the Trulaske College of Business to students and externally around campus and to employers by being a positive first impression to all visitors. Assistance should be customer first focus by delivering an exceptional experience focused on understanding their goals, resolving any issues proactively and hoping to always improve our service.
Shift

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Some nights and weekends may be needed occasionally and will be communicated well in advance.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior work experience is preferred.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $17.05 - $20.50/hour

Grade: GGS-007
