Responsibilities
When you join the growing Hartgrove Behavioral Health System team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives. The Security Officer is a key member of the Security Department Team. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe healthcare environment. You willprotect staff, patients, and visitors and ensure that all hospital property is secure. Your duties are to patrol the building and its grounds, monitor all activity in and out of the hospital, and endeavor to prevent vandalism, theft, fire, and disturbances within the facility. You frequently report to your manager or other security personnel about what you have observed on your rounds. You must be on the lookout for all sorts of issues at the hospital, including maintenance issues, which may compromise people's safety or the integrity of the building. Work Schedule: PRN: Available shifts include- Days; 7:00am - 3:30pm| PMs; 3:00pm - 11:30pm| Nights; 11:00pm - 7:30am PRN/ Flex staff are required to work a minimum of four (4) shifts, with at least 2 being a weekend, during each calendar month, as needed. In addition, all staff are required to work 2 holidays per year. Note: The PRN work status is not eligible for benefits Work Locations: In this role, the security officer will be required to work at both of our hospital locations- Hartgrove Behavioral Health Hospital- 5730 West Roosevelt, Chicago, Il 60644 AND Garfield Behavioral Health Hospital-520 N.
