Georgia-Pacific Consumer Operations is seeking qualified professionals to be considered for our Operations Coordinator role to support the manufacturing teams at our Dixie Products Operations Plant located in Bowling Green, KY.

The individual in this role is expected to be contribution motivated, quality focused and work to innovate and improve results. The ideal candidate will possess good technical and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team to solve problems. A successful individual will take initiative to understand operations and will be able to work both individually and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. This position will report directly to the Plant Director.

What You Will Do

  • Engage in and foster a culture based on our Principle Based Management (PBM) Philosophy. Embrace influential leadership to support the organization while advancing our culture.
  • Participate in and support new employee onboarding, which includes but is not limited to requesting network access, completing compliance documents, scheduling and assisting with the onsite orientation, setting up payroll, benefits and training through company portals.
  • Assist site team members with how to reach out for support on leaves, payroll, benefits and other company processes.
  • Lead new hire process for all levels of organization; first day impressions; company property distribution; explanation of site and more!
  • Keep stock on company supplies and apparel.
  • Assist with pre-employment screenings and administer random drug screens/ follow process.
  • Work with recruiting to help Op's leaders with interview scheduling and needs.
  • Maintain government bulletins and notices to ensure Compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
  • Plan and manage company events, including but not limited to coordination of holiday decorating and team influence for support in the events.
  • Help manage the facility's personnel security access/badges for contractors, visitors and team members.
  • Ability to solve problems and have attention to detail.
  • Support Operations leaders/ support HR leader
  • Lead the office on proper disposal and storage of records.
  • Utilize and manage purchasing card for multiple product and service providers.
  • Help coordinate meetings, lunches and some calendar organization for leaders/HR.
  • Answer visitor gate/bell, coordinate guests and assist with visitor entry/deliveries.
  • Orders snacks, keep small items stocked and delivered when necessary.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • High level administrative support experience in a business, manufacturing, or equivalent environment
  • Experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office systems.
  • Onboarding, payroll, leave, basic HR knowledge
  • Confidentiality is a must; experience working alongside HR department/teams

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Three (3) or more years of administrative experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • Experience training or leading meetings to share knowledge.
  • Systems experience - SharePoint sites, MS Teams, Kronos, Genetec, Infor
