Job Description




As a Security Officer - Resort Patrol Full-Time in Scottsdale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor guest areas and back of house spaces, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with a service-first mindset, document observations, and communicate clearly with site leadership and emergency responders as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hotel and resort areas including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and guest areas, observe for unusual conditions, and communicate concerns to management and/or appropriate responders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance and/or direction until additional help arrives.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate key information during shift handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
