Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex Armed Patrol Rover in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process-adjacent areas, parking lots, and perimeter lines, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, checking identification, logging entries and exits, and directing deliveries and contractors per post orders.
  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation, note unusual conditions, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or site management per reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 1+ years' armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
