Job Description




As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol Driver in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document activity, respond to alarms and service calls, and partner with your team to act with integrity in line with Allied Universal values. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor the financial institution location for unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with site contacts and/or responding authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, including checking doors, gates, and other access points while documenting observations.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives, and support security-related operations during opening, closing, and high-traffic periods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
