About The Position | Major Goals and Objectives and Location Requirements:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, facilities, and company assets. This includes maintaining an on-site security presence, monitoring the access control systems, conducting routine patrols, and responding promptly and effectively to incidents or emergencies. The officer plays a critical role in preventing security breaches, identifying potential risks, and supporting a safe, professional workplace environment that enables business operations to continue without interruption.

The full-time in-person role also supports People Inc.'s business continuity by documenting incidents, coordinating with internal teams and emergency responders, and maintaining a consistent security presence that protects operations and company reputation.

In-Office Expectations: This position is a fully in-office role due to the nature of the work being done.

About The Team | The Team and/or Brand:

The Security team at People Inc. is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, facilities, and assets across all office site locations. The team partners closely with contracted security staff, reception, facilities, event teams, and law enforcement agencies to deliver a consistent and resilient security program.

About The Position's Contributions:

  • Ensure the safety and security of all onsite personnel, including employees, visitors, and vendors, as well as the property, workspaces, and critical assets.

  • Conduct interior/exterior foot patrols of the property.

  • Utilize various systems, including access control and video management, to conduct security operations.

  • Maintain daily activity reports; write and submit detailed narrative reports as needed.

  • Greet and assist guests in a highly professional manner.

  • Respond to incidents and urgent/emergencies requiring security assistance.

  • Provide security support to special events or other initiatives as needed.

  • Enforce and adhere to all policies, procedures, rules, and regulations as set forth by the company and Corporate Security leadership.

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions, and Expected Measurable Results

  • 80% Operations & Administration: On-site security posture, manage access control and video management systems. Have a great understanding of the established emergency response protocols.

  • 10% Events & Special Programs: Provide direct support for third-party and internal events, ensuring risk mitigation and safe execution.

  • 10% Training & External Engagement: Attend security training and maintain relationships with law enforcement and emergency partners.

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

High School graduate, college preferred.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of Security or similar experience, preferably in a corporate environment.

  • Prior military, law enforcement, or executive protection experience is not required, but a plus.

  • Clean driving record as evidenced by a Motor Vehicle Records check.

  • As a condition of continued employment, the employee must maintain the current active status of all required licenses and must always carry the license while on duty.

  • Must be willing to acquire First Aid/CPR certifications within 6 months of hire

  • Applicants must pass the pre-screening process, including a background investigation.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Abilities:

  • Must be available to work a regular schedule, which may include daytime and/or nighttime shifts, plus overtime on an as-needed basis.

  • Must be a team player, but also capable of operating independently.

  • A pleasant and positive attitude with a professional demeanor.

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to engage effectively with diverse teams at all levels of an organization, from administrative to senior executive staff.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English proficiency is required.

  • Must be able to send and receive emails and demonstrate proficiency in operating Windows and browser-based systems. Prior experience with Google Workspace, access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems is a plus.

  • Ability to stand or walk constantly for extended periods of time.

  • Occasionally bend/twist at the waist/knees/neck to perform various duties.

  • Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/touching while using the phone, notepad, writing reports, and performing other administrative tasks.

  • Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with onsite personnel, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination.

  • Work in various environments, including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, or heat. Constant mental alertness and attention to detail are required while on duty.

  • Must recognize and follow the chain of command and established security procedures.
