The Role

QuidelOrtho is looking for Global Procurement Intern that wants to spend their summer working towards our mission: Changing Lives, One Test at a Time. Interns will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop their skills all while contributing to key company projects and initiatives. Our team will help students apply their educational background and broaden their knowledge base within their role and learn more about working in the medical device/biotech industry. Interns will work with a mentor(s) on a guided and impactful project and will be able to collaborate with and be part of a supportive and dedicated team.

This Internship is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid program for 10-12 weeks.

Session 1: June 1st through August 31st

Session 2: July 6th through September 21st

This Intern will beworkingonsite at our office in Raritan, NJ or Rochester, NY or San Diego, CA.

The Responsibilities
  • Support the Procurement team with datadriven analysis and execution of costsavings initiatives.

  • Assist with collecting, cleansing, and organizing spend data to support visibility, reporting, and decisionmaking.

  • Contribute to supplier research, benchmarking, and basic sourcing event preparation.

  • Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to support savings validation, spend categorization, and purchasing process improvements.

  • Participate in special projects that advance procurement maturity and process efficiency.

  • Perform other workrelated duties as assigned

The Individual

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or related field or Master's program in the Fall Semester 2026 at an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum GPA 3.0 or higher.

  • Able to start on either June 1st or July 6th.

  • Ability to complete a consecutive 10-12 week internship.

  • Must have work authorization in the United States at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.

  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas); familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

  • Attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn procurement and supply chain concepts.

Preferred:

  • Rising Junior or Senior at an accredited university or college.

  • Prior internship or academic project experience involving data analysis or business operations.

  • Interest in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday) or spend analytics tools.

  • Demonstrated problemsolving ability and continuous improvement mindset.

The Work Environment

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials is required. 30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range for current Freshman, rising Sophomore is $18.00/hour; Sophomore, rising Junior is $20.00/hour; Junior, rising senior is $23.00/hour to $26.00/hour; Senior, enrolled in school for fall 2026 is $25.00/hour to $28.00/hour; or currently enrolled Graduate, MBD, PhD program is $28.00/hour to $30.00/hour. At QuidelOrtho, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
