Program Overview: Gateway University is a talent pathway for those seeking to become maintenance technicians at JetBlue. This Gateway creates a pathway for students at one of JetBlue's partner schools to apply for and, if successful, earn a conditional job offer that will allow them to join JetBlue as a maintenance technician once they have completed the required training/education and have earned their Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) certificate. At that time, graduates will go through the same orientation and training program that all new hire maintenance technicians complete. Gateway University-Tech Ops has the following training/experience-building framework
Once the Gateway candidate has achieved the qualifications necessary to become a JetBlue Aircraft Maintenance Technician, the Gateway candidate must apply for a current opening and complete pre-employment testing, background check, and verification of the FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates. Once completed successfully, the Gateway candidate will be given a class date to begin new hire training as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Minimum Requirements:
