What You'll Do:
Pelican is seeking a Senior SAP BASIS Administrator to own the stability, security, and performance of our global SAP landscape. In this role, you'll serve as a technical authority responsible for system architecture, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement across enterprise SAP environments. You'll work closely with global IT and business stakeholders, solving complex challenges and ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
- Own administration of global SAP BASIS environments, systems, and supporting infrastructure
- Manage SAP security, including user access, roles, authorizations, compliance, and governance
- Monitor, tune, and optimize performance while leading root cause analysis for complex issues
- Lead full SAP lifecycle activities-builds, upgrades, patches, transports, and decommissioning
- Manage SAPGUI versions and coordinate global rollout initiatives
- Oversee background jobs and batch processing to ensure reliable system execution
- Partner with functional, development, infrastructure, and security teams to support projects and operations
- Provide architectural guidance and recommend system, hardware, and platform improvements
- Develop and maintain standards, documentation, and best practices
- Support global users while driving initiatives that strengthen reliability, performance, and security
- Step in as needed to support evolving business and technology priorities
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration across multiple SAP landscapes.
- Strong expertise in SAP BASIS administration, performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience with SAP security, including user access, roles, profiles, and authorizations.
- Experience supporting SAP products such as SAP R/3, BW, Portal, CPI, and SAP Security.
- Proven experience with SAP system lifecycle management, including builds, upgrades, transports, and decommissioning.
- Experience with SAP change management and transport management processes.
- Hands-on experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Management, and Central User Administration (CUA).
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across severalU.S. geographic markets. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The annual U.S. pay range for this positionis listed below. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on your qualifications, job-related knowledge, skills,and experience.
