DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will be responsible for reviewing, sorting, and distribution of the daily mail, as well as preparing policy packets and other policy-related information for mailing to policyholders and brokers/agents. You will utilizes the SMART System on a daily basis, making the necessary changes and updates to policies, as required by policyholders, brokers/agents, and Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (PCRB) and Coal Mining Compensation Rating Bureau (CMCRB) correspondence. Handles and responds to PCRB and CMCRB regarding disapproval letters, including illegal classification combinations, policy experience modifications, and anniversary rating dates, providing notification to other departments of status, when appropriate. Reviews monthly and weekly reports from other Bureaus regarding policy updates, and prepares weekly reports as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
