DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will be one of the first individuals that our community members will interact with, providing a positive impact on behalf of Wayne County Transportation Services (AAA). This position performs a wide range of front desk and clerical duties for the supervisors, staff, caseworkers, and administrative staff. You will perform various office functions including greeting walk-ins, answering phones, taking messages, data entry, customer service, scanning, filing, arranging staff travel accommodations and reservations, and processing mail. Additionally, you will maintain a knowledge of roads and geography of the county as well as information on transportation rules and policies. This position is expected to meet deadlines in a timely manner and maintain smooth paperwork flow for case management staff. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- May have irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Some travel in and out of the county for meetings.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk 1 and educational development to the level of the eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum; or
- Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges and abilities.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
