Pharmacy Technician I - Part Time - Varied - Encinitas

This is a part time position (48 hours per two week pay period) with 8-hour varied shifts and every other weekend located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

The Pharmacy Technician will join the tight-knit team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and will have ample opportunity to experience all aspects of inpatient pharmacy operations, including medication distribution, repackaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding. The Pharmacy Technician will also have the opportunity to train for tech-check-tech operations and cross-train in other specialized roles, including medication history, buyer, medication safety and systems analyst.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Certification/Registration:

• California Board of Pharmacy Certification

Required Education/Course(s)/Training:

• Certification by National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred.
• 1 year inpatient experience preferred or hospital externship
