Description
Are you looking to enhance your career in healthcare? University Hospitals, in partnership with NewBridge Cleveland, is offering a new Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program to obtain the education and skills needed to become a Medical Assistant. Medical Assistants are multi-skilled, multi-tasking health care professionals who are educated not only in clinical skills allowing them to provide direct patient care, but also in administrative medical clerical office procedures. Selected candidates will be hired into paid full time positions where 50% of the time will be attending in-person medical assisting training at centrally located NewBridge, located in Downtown Cleveland. The other 50% will be in clinical/administrative practice here at UH. The 10-month, 1,200 hour program prepares students to sit for and obtain a National Healthcare Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant upon program completion at which time, participants will be eligible for promotion to a UH Medical Assistant. Locations are determined based on a practices ability to accommodate a trainee, with an effort made to place participants within 30 minutes of their city of residence. Location preferences will be noted but cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the program. | |
