Location Gastonia, NC

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Mon - Fri

Direct the flow. Control the yard.

Keep the yard moving and the operation running. The Yard Operator plays a critical role in organizing yard flow and supporting shipping and receiving operations to ensure efficient transportation logistics.

This is what it takes to work for us.

• 2-3 years of warehouse or yard experience, including order pulling, truck loading/unloading, and forklift operation
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods
• Ability to work in outdoor industrial environments and varying weather conditions

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pick and pull stock materials to fulfill customer orders
• Operate saws and bevellers to prepare materials
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
• Receive and stock inventory in designated yard locations
• Read and interpret pipe stencils and work orders
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• Perform general yard maintenance and equipment operation as assigned
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Report discrepancies, damaged materials, or issues to management
• Assist with additional duties as needed to meet customer expectations
