Broad responsibility and leadership for overall operation of a value stream. Implements the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.

Scope/ Supervision and Interaction:

Responsible for developing and managing Team Leaders and associates, Scheduling/Supervisor Toolroom for the Division, Supervisor Maintenance Department and responsible for the facility grounds and maintenance, ensure quality standards are met, budgets, employment decisions, and performance assessments of the Value Stream.

Responsible for all aspects of managing the Value Stream to include developing associates, ensure that team consensus is used to thoroughly evaluate decisions, ensure that decisions are rapidly implemented, employment decisions related to associates and performance assessment of all direct reports, team leaders, and associates. Update and draw a Value Stream Map utilizing Visio.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Planner to review all Late Lines and Line of Balance (LOB) reviews.

  • Coordinate daily and weekly labor plans with Leads based on scheduling tool demand.

  • Ensure all reviews are completed and communicated on time.

  • Validate daily completion of DxH and payroll processes.

  • Manage overtime posting and approval for production lines as needed.

  • Own the scheduling and prioritization of maintenance jobs and rotate maintenance team members for training purposes.

  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure PMs and service calls are completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Verify daily review and approval of scrap tickets.

  • Own the development and execution of the Value Stream Quarterly Plan.

  • Lead weekly Value Stream Board meetings and ensure action plan execution.

  • Coach High-Performance Teams (HPT) and act as a mentor to natural teams.

  • Hold Leads accountable for team performance, responsibilities, and adherence to work instructions, setup sheets, and standard work.

  • Communicate daily, monthly, and quarterly goals and expectations clearly to all team members.

  • Work closely with Leads to ensure training plans are met, and cross-training is effective.

  • Foster a positive, can-do team atmosphere through regular meetings, task assignments, and coordination of external support.

  • Facilitate effective communication of value stream performance metrics and project updates to the team.

  • Drive POP (Point of Production) implementation and support long-term manufacturing strategies.

  • Lead Lean initiatives to achieve productivity gains and create continuous product flow using pull systems and workload leveling.

  • Collaborate with Value Stream Leaders and Division Staff to develop and manage future state value stream maps and improvement plans.

  • Maintain and ensure effective use of Team Improvement Boards (TIB), Site Tracking Center, and visual controls to identify and solve problems proactively.

  • Ensure all process changes are documented, communicated, and verified with operations, quality, and safety teams prior to implementation.

  • Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) for PPAP requirements and machine scheduling.

  • Partner with Quality Manager to ensure timely and accurate processing of ATRs and adherence to BMA processes.

  • Serve as liaison with Plant Manager to resolve roadblocks beyond office team capabilities.

  • Communicate cells and teams need to support personnel promptly.

  • Ensure coordination across leadership and departments to resolve issues efficiently and maintain workflow continuity.

We are looking for talent with:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 3-5 years of major professional accomplishments, including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity. Previous P&L ownership experience preferred.

  • Sufficient experience and background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resources management, inventory control, and strategic planning.

  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results by meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive changes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Involved with or lead a team in LEAN process improvements/implementation preferred.
