CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Senior - Income Franchise Tax to join our talented State & Local Tax (SALT) team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

In this position you should have the following: excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment. Most important, demonstrate a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

How you'll create opportunities in this Senior - Income Franchise role:

  • Collaborate with clients to provide customized State & Local Tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex income/franchise tax issues.
  • Coordinate and lead SALT income/franchise projects including nexus studies; restructuring opportunities; voluntary disclosure agreement proceedings; income/franchise tax compliance; pass through entity tax projects; PL 86-282 studies; and return review for refund opportunities.
  • Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
  • Mentor Associates/Staff team members to help them build inspired careers.
  • Learn new software and/or help develop standardized templates and tools.
  • Willingness to learn new tax concepts.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Experience: Two years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience in business services or consulting is preferred.
  • Eligible to sit for CPA exam preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Income Franchise Tax preferred.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is: $84,400.00 - $138,000.00
