Weld Process Specialist

Location:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.

* Builds relationships with existing local and national customers on the sale of large capital welding processes and applications.

* Increase sales and margin profit through Efficiency Analysis and Engineered Cost Reduction programs.

* Responds to customer inquiries to provide product and application training. * Research any customer concerns or complaints.

* Uses Airgas Sales tools (Efficiency Analysis, Weld surveys, Unlocking the Hidden Costs of Welding) to gain and retain business.

* Provides information and training on Airgas Shielding Gasses and weld products to customers.

* Provides information on Flexible, Fixed Automation applications and CNC cutting systems.

* Airgas associates are expected to act with care, adapt to our environment and engage to trust and grow - core tenets within the Be, Act, Engage framework of employee performance.

* All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Pay: $89k - $102k - additionally, Weld Process Specialist Bonus Plan

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Required Education:

* Associate Degree Welding (AAS), Military Weld training acceptable or Bachelor's degree (Engineering) from a four-year college or university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

* Current certified welding certification with OSHA 10 or 30 hour card.

Required Length and Type of Experience:

* Minimum of five to seven years' experience in the Welding Industry and three years sales experience in relevant fields or industry.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):

* Must be able to apply mathematical formulas that quantify the costs associated with the processes so analysis and comparisons may be created.

* Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude towards other associates, customers and work environment.

* Must be self-motivated, success oriented, mechanically, technically and detail oriented.

* Ability to be flexible and able to "shift gears" in the face of interrupted schedules, canceled appointments and unfulfilled promises.
