This role supports daily lot operations, vehicle flow, and auction-day production by transporting, staging, lifting, and repositioning vehicles in accordance with company standards. This position requires strong equipment-operation skills, a focus on safety, and effective communication with Lot Operations and Dispatch.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tow trucks and front-end loaders to tow, lift, and transport vehicles across the auction lot.
  • Safely load, secure, tow, and unload vehicles using approved techniques and equipment standards.
  • Use front-end loaders to lift or relocate inoperable or hard-to-access vehicles.
  • Complete daily inspections of assigned equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Move vehicles to staging lanes, shops, sale areas, and pick-up/drop-off zones based on dispatch instructions.
  • Follow lot maps, work orders, and radio communication to ensure accurate and timely vehicle movements.
  • Document all vehicle moves in internal systems as required.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all Manheim safety rules, PPE guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with general lot operations, including jump-starts, unlocks, and support during sale-day operations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Ability to operate tow trucks and/or heavy equipment; auction experience and TDLR/OSHA certified preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating tow trucks, wheel-lift systems, or front-end loaders.
  • Previous lot operations or automotive handling experience.
  • Strong understanding of safe equipment operation standards.

Schedule

  • Friday through Tuesday, 9AM to 6PM


USD 18.17 - 27.31 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $18.17 - $27.31/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
