The Director of Reporting provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for key areas of the University's external reporting obligations. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of data files and statistical reports required by the
UNC System, state and federal agencies, accrediting bodies, outside media organizations such as U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review, as well as various disclosures to the public.
The Director is also responsible for dissemination of statistical information to campus stakeholders. This role is charged with developing, managing, and delivering statistical reports to support University decision making at all levels, institutional planning, evaluation of academic program productivity and quality, analysis of enrollments and funding, and many other needs. In collaboration with other
OIRA staff, the Director of reporting oversees the design and execution of standardized reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in alignment with institutional needs and data governance standards.
This position coordinates these data collection and reporting processes across a network of academic and operational units that generate source data, review data summaries for errors, or manage enterprise applications and data repositories. Ongoing, clear communication with these stakeholders, as well as the
UNC System staff, is a critical component of this position.
The position reports to the Associate Provost of Institutional Research, Planning, & Assessment and is part of the leadership team in
OIRPA. The Director of Reporting collaborates with the other senior directors and various team members in ensuring
OIRPA fulfills its mission to serve the University. The role involves serving on committees, providing consultation to units about data reporting rules and policies, and working with colleagues to improve processes.
