Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic jobsite, completing routine rounds, documenting security-related activity, and staying highly visible to help reduce incidents. You will communicate clearly with site contacts, respond to needs as they arise, and deliver customer service with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of active work areas, site offices, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; working conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, including verifying credentials, documenting entries and exits, and directing drivers and/or pedestrians to approved routes based on site instructions.
  • Complete detailed, accurate reports of daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
