26-01663 Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing electrical components and systems that support subsea defense platforms, including remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and manned submersibles. This role supports electrical system design throughout the full product life cycle, from concept and development through production and testing. The engineer performs electrical analysis, hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and formal documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams during system integration and validation. This position is 100% onsite in Riviera Beach, Florida. Job Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and test complex electrical systems and components for subsea applications
Develop electrical architectures supporting distributed I/O systems, RF systems, remote test equipment, power distribution systems, and fiber optic interconnects
Perform electrical analysis, circuit design, and system-level evaluations
Support design reviews, production activities, and system integration efforts
Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electrical systems
Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including schematics, analysis reports, and test procedures
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during integration and test phases
Support issue resolution throughout the product life cycle
Ensure designs meet applicable defense and quality standards
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
Minimum of 6 years of experience in electronic or electrical design
Experience with complex electrical system design and analysis
Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting electrical systems
Knowledge of distributed I/O architectures, RF systems, power distribution systems, and fiber optic interconnects
Ability to support integration and test activities in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work onsite in Riviera Beach, Florida
Must be a U.S. citizen
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required Work Experience
At least 6 years of professional experience in electrical or electronic system design, preferably supporting complex or defense-related platforms
