Overview
The D405 Digital Technologies' team seeks an experienced Organizational Change Manager (OCM) to lead structured change management efforts supporting enterprise digital transformation initiatives across engineering, planning, materials management, supply chain, operations and sustainment. This role is critical to ensuring the successful adoption, sustained use, and value realization of new digital capabilities in a highly regulated, risk-averse aerospace and defense environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in formal organizational change management methodologies, experience operating within large, matrixed organizations, and the credibility to partner effectively with senior leaders, technical teams, and frontline users. You will play a critical role in shaping how a globally significant aerospace and defense organization modernizes its operations-while upholding the rigor, safety, and trust that define our mission. Key Responsibilities Change Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies aligned to Value Stream and Program objectives
- Conduct change impact assessments to evaluate impacts across roles, processes, systems, and compliance requirements
- Define change scope, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans in coordination with the Value Stream Managers and Programs
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership Alignment
- Partner with executive sponsors, functional leaders, and program managers to ensure visible leadership alignment and sponsorship
- Build trusted relationships across the functional areas, IT, submarine program offices, executives and external government customers
- Facilitate governance forums and readiness reviews with the Value Stream Managers, related to adoption and change
Communications & Enablement
- Design and deliver structured communication plans tailored to diverse stakeholder groups, including executives, managers, and frontline employees
- Translate complex technical and digital concepts into clear, role-relevant messages
- Coordinate with value stream leads and training teams to ensure learning strategies align with adoption and proficiency goals
Adoption, Readiness & Reinforcement
- Define repeatable adoption strategies based on industry best practices
- Define and track adoption, readiness, and effectiveness metrics in partnership with the Value Stream Managers (e.g., usage, proficiency, behavioral change)
- Define adoption risks early, in partnership with the Value Stream Managers and recommend corrective actions
- Support post-deployment reinforcement, continuous improvement, and sustainment activities
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure change activities comply with internal governance, regulatory, and security requirements
- Integrate change management into formal program management, systems engineering, and validation processes
- Support audit-ready documentation and decision traceability as required
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Change Management/Leadership, Business Administration, Management Information Systems or Psychology
- 8+ years of experience in organizational change management, preferably supporting digital or technology transformations in aerospace and defense
- 4+ years of experience in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated experience working in large, highly regulated, matrixed organizations
- Strong knowledge of formal change methodologies (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent)
- Proven ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in risk-averse environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Organizational Psychology/Development, Change Management/Organizational Change Leadership or Business
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with digital initiatives such as PLM, MES, ERP, digital thread, model-based engineering, and/or advanced manufacturing systems
- Prosci certification or equivalent change management certification
- Experience partnering with functional areas (e.g. engineering, planning, etc.) and program management organizations
