RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

The role is on the Strategic Data Services team which is part of the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Sales Strategy and Enablement group. Our team collaborates closely with senior management to drive growth and profitability of the global Third-Party Wealth business by managing core data sets, driving strategic initiatives, stewarding data to identify sales opportunities, and developing data-driven analytics. We oversee data that is critical to form the foundation of our sales' day-to-day prospecting efforts, while also maintaining sales metrics and business analytics for sales management with a clear focus on the accuracy and integrity of data. Our team works closely with the engineering and the broader Sales Strategy & Enablement Team to enhance our client relationship management infrastructure as well as streamline processes that impact the broader sales teams.

YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Associate to join our Goldman Sachs Asset Management Sales Strategy and Enablement group. In this role, you will partner with various teams within the Client Solutions Group and Strategic Transformation Office to provide analytical support regarding our sales and distribution efforts with key client firms, platforms and registered investment advisors. You will support data governance and management initiatives by leveraging internal and external applications and databases, and by partnering with sales management, strategy, engineering, and external vendors to facilitate the use of complete and accurate sales data. You will work with large amounts of data in both an independent and collaborative setting, helping to provide analytical support towards the broader management team.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Maintain accurate mutual fund, SMA, Private Placement, Alternatives, and ETF sales data to facilitate reporting and analysis for the Goldman Sachs Asset Management Client Solutions Group
  • Play a pivotal role in overseeing a sales data warehouse as the single source of truth for all trade, client, sales hierarchy, and product level attributes to be used for management and field enablement for global sales channels
  • Function as a data product owner and help lead the end-to-end life lifecycle, development, accuracy, and success of client level data in front-end tools and Salesforce
  • Govern foundational client hierarchy data at the firm, office and rep level while stewarding industry data into downstream tools to identify new opportunities for the sales teams
  • Act as a central point of contact to resolve sales data inquiries and inaccuracies in a timely manner by stewarding data within the CRM.
  • Work closely with our sales attribution vendor to oversee the daily reconciliation of trade processing files and downstream reporting
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams like Engineering and the CFO reporting team to execute on functionality builds that support sales reporting priorities, as well as downstream analytics, client engagement, and workflow tools
  • Facilitate distribution wide sales activities to foster further client interaction and communication, while managing client coverage and conflict requests
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of business / market analytics and sales metrics for divisional and business managers with a clear focus on accuracy and consistency of data
  • Work with engineering and BI to create data-drive KPIs to accelerate sales in key areas that are profitable to the overall business

  • Strong skills in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, simple macros, etc.), PowerPoint (graphs/charts)
  • Focus on identifying areas of improving efficiency through automation and scalability
  • Relevant experience in data management, sales reporting & attribution, sales operations, investment management operations, Agile framework, or Sales Force a plus
  • Experience in agile methodologies and product management is a plus
  • Experience in financial services, asset management, FinTech, or data analytics


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $70000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
