Position Overview:

Granite is substantially expanding Grid, our private network platform built for multi-tenant retail properties, including shopping centers and REIT properties. Simon - the country's largest retail REIT - has asked Granite to expand existing Grid facilities to reach all permanent tenants and to expand across Simon's entire retail portfolio as Simon requires new and existing tenants to utilize Grid for internet access. Other REITs are expected to follow Simon's lead.

To meet this increased demand for Grid, we are seeking a Director of Grid Operations and Strategy. The Director will oversee the strategy and cross-functional coordination required to scale infrastructure deployments, increase tenant penetration and ensure seamless installation and ongoing support.

The Director of Grid Ops & Strategy will serve as the executive lead for Grid expansion, working closely with the GRID Sales Team on sales strategy and partnering with Engineering, Field Services, Operations & Granite's Executive Team to ensure successful deployment and long-term performance across the portfolio.

This role requires both strategic leadership and disciplined operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead expansion of the Grid Program across the portfolio of Simon and other REITs.
  • Develop and execute rollout strategy for hundreds of malls and tens of thousands of tenants
  • Oversee full lifecycle of Grid deployment, including backbone infrastructure and fiber "tails" to tenants
  • Partner with Engineering, Field Services, and Operations to ensure builds are delivered on time and within budget
  • Work closely with the Grid Sales Team to drive tenant penetration, pricing strategy and revenue growth.
  • Align sales efforts with deployment schedules to ensure revenue ramp aligns with capital investment.
  • Align with Marketing to support property-level and tenant-level commercialization efforts.
  • Serve as executive liaison for REIT partners and ensure strong relationship management.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate new property builds and expansion opportunities.
  • Build reporting dashboards and executive updates on program performance.



Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of leadership experience in telecom, fiber, infrastructure, or multi-site service environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale deployment programs across multiple geographies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Experience working with REITs, large property owners, or enterprise portfolio clients preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Executive presence with the ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
