As the Club Sports Coach, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that supports students from diverse backgrounds as they participate in Sport Clubs at Duke University.

As part of Duke's commitment to excellence, the Club Sports Coach plays a key role in promoting safety, skill development, leadership, and positive student experiences.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach technical skills, coach the sport during practices and competitions, and prepare club members for participation.
  • Ensure all participants comply with Sport Club risk management requirements and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Attend annual training on Duke University and Sport Club policies; ensure ongoing program compliance.
  • Advise and counsel Sport Club officers on club operations, direction, and leadership development.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for participants across all skill levels, identities, and backgrounds.
  • Maintain valid CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the American Red Cross or obtain certification within 30 days of employment.

  • Relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
