Description

Position Summary: Lease Operator position assigned with the responsibility of on-site maintenance throughout the entire operational area. This would include but not be limited to well pads/well locations, fresh water impounds, lease roads, office building, shop building, pole barn building and yard. May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends and some holidays based on a predetermined work schedule.


Responsibilities include:


GPU Equipment



  • Help replace Inlet 3" and Bypass 2" valves
  • Identify and replace rusted/corroded pipe nipples and sections of piping
  • Install upgraded PRV assemblies for future separator inspections
  • Help facilitate quarterly and biannual mechanical inspections of chokes, dump valves and separators
  • Help EC with FLIR when operators are not available and then help with follow up inspections to correct any issues
  • GPU drip pan repairs
  • Possible use of ultrasonic to test wall thickness of dump valve and dump piping for integrity


Dehy Equipment



  • Help track Filter changes and assists with filter changes on a quarterly basis or as needed
  • Help with keeping track of available glycol and adding glycol to reboilers as needed
  • Install any upgrades to dehy deemed fit by facilities engineering and assist with cleaning


Well Heads



  • Assist and maintain a yearly greasing program for all wellhead valves
  • Replace seized or frozen valves and rebuild or replace ESD valves
  • Inspect all well head chokes for integrity


Production Tanks



  • Assist with Tank vent project
  • Rerun, brace and support dump lines; inspect lines for microbial corrosion
  • Clean up Tank containments


General Site and Winter Maintenance



  • Help maintain locations appearance and assist with winterization activities
  • Use weed trimmer to cut tall grass around wellheads and production equipment
  • Move blocks for production operations such as slickline and flushes
  • Set up and refuel heaters as requested and needed


Office and Yard Maintenance



  • Help with anything maintenance related around office and keep the shop/yard organized
  • Maintain snow/ice free walks at office, shop and yard.
  • Maintain accurate parts inventory and order parts as needed
  • Rebuild valves or any equipment
  • Operate forklift for deliveries and out bound parts.

Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.


Minimum Experience: 1+ years oil/gas experience preferred


Professional Certifications/Training Required: Current drivers' license with no restrictions; must be able to drive
Professional Certifications/Training Preferred: None

Oil & Gas Exp Required: Preferred

Skills: Basic computer knowledge, good visual and auditory levels, self-starter with ability to work independently, troubleshooting and problem solving, strong mechanical aptitude.

Working Conditions: Working conditions vary based on the location of the work performed. Work performed in an office is typically in a climate controlled indoor setting. Work performed in the field may require the employee to be subjected to seasonal field conditions ranging from normal to extreme temperature and weather conditions and employees must be able to work in remote, isolated areas.
