Brief Description: The Senior Director, Corporate Sustainability & Social Impact (CSSI) Lead is responsible for setting, evolving, and executing on Jazz Pharmaceuticals' enterprise-wide CSSI strategy to advance the company's corporate strategy, and long-term value creation. This leader will elevate and integrate CSSI as a core business capability-deeply embedded across functions-and ensure that Jazz's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives are cohesive, credible, decision useful, and impactful. Reporting into senior leadership, this role serves as the strategic integrator, thought leader, and connective thread across sustainability, social impact, and ESG initiatives, partnering closely with Finance, Technical Operations, Procurement, Legal, HR, and other key functions. The role also leads enterprise level governance, executive and Board engagement, and external-facing ESG insights. Essential Functions/Responsibilities Strategy & Enterprise Integration
Define, lead, and continuously evolve Jazz's Corporate Sustainability & Social Impact (CSSI) strategy, ensuring it remains fit for purpose, forward looking, and aligned with Jazz's corporate priorities, risk profile, and growth strategy. Embed CSSI into the fabric of the organization, shaping how sustainability and social impact are integrated into business planning, operations, decision making, and culture across functions and geographies. Position CSSI as a strategic business capability, demonstrating how it enables enterprise value creation, resilience, innovation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder trust. Translate enterprise strategy into clear priorities, roadmaps, and execution plans, with accountability and measurable outcomes. Accountable for driving the successful execution of the CSSI strategy and key initiatives across all CSSI pillars (Patients, People, Community, and Planet), while partnering closely with cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
Enterprise Leadership & Governance
Lead the CSSI leadership team, ensuring strong collaboration, alignment, and information sharing across CSSI pillars. Establish and maintain effective governance structures to support decision-making, escalation, and cross functional coordination. Prepare high impact updates for the Executive Committee and Board, including strategic insights, progress against commitments, emerging risks, and external developments. Lead quarterly Executive Committee sponsor meetings, ensuring leaders receive strong recommendations, relevant information, and decision-ready materials.
ESG Data, Reporting & Environmental Strategy
Accountable for setting and executing ESG reporting strategy and collaborating closely with Legal and internal teams to make appropriate assessments regarding regulatory and voluntary disclosures. Partner closely with Finance, Technical Operations, Procurement, and other teams to:
Collect, audit, validate, and report ESG data in alignment with applicable frameworks and expectations. Ensure ESG reporting is strategic, credible, and tailored to key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, employees, and external partners.
Work with TechOps and Procurement to further develop and execute Jazz's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction strategy, including targets, roadmaps, and implementation plans. Strengthen internal capabilities to ensure ESG data and reporting informs strategy, capital allocation, and operational decisions.
Cross Functional Leadership & Program Development
Identify, elevate, and integrate CSSI related work already occurring across Jazz, reducing silos and duplication while strengthening enterprise coherence. Build on existing initiatives or incorporate them into a stronger, more unified CSSI program with shared goals, metrics, and narratives. Serve as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders across the organization, connecting dots between sustainability, social impact, regulatory expectations, and business outcomes.
External Thought Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a thought leader and active participant in the ESG and sustainability community, monitoring evolving trends, regulations, and best practices. Translate external ESG developments (e.g., regulatory changes, investor expectations, industry trends) into clear implications and recommendations for Jazz. Ensure external insights are reflected in CSSI decision-making, strategy evolution, and enterprise risk management.
Communication & Influence
Demonstrate exceptional executive presence, with the ability to influence, align, and collaborate with senior executives and cross functional leaders. Communicate complex CSSI concepts clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences, from subject-matter experts to the Board of Directors. Strengthen Jazz's internal and external CSSI narrative, reinforcing credibility, transparency, and impact.
Qualifications & Experience Required
12+ years of progressive experience in corporate sustainability, ESG, social impact, or related enterprise strategy roles, including significant leadership responsibility. Proven ability to set strategy and lead execution in complex, matrixed organizations. Strong understanding of business strategy, regulatory compliance, and value creation-and how sustainability and social impact enable them. Demonstrated success influencing across functions and senior leadership levels without direct authority. Deep experience navigating the external ESG environment, including regulations, frameworks, investor considerations, and stakeholder expectations. Exceptional communication, writing, synthesis, and executive presentation skills. 10-15% travel
Preferred
Pharmaceutical or life sciences industry experience is strongly preferred. Experience working closely with Technical Operations, Procurement, and Finance on environmental and ESG initiatives. Familiarity with ESG frameworks, disclosures, and assurance environments. Experience engaging with Boards and senior management on sustainability and ESG strategy.

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $224,000.00 - $336,000.00 Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.
