Responsibilities The Senior Managed Care Data Management Analyst applies critical thinking skills to interpret government, state and commercial payer contracts in order to translate appropriate data elements into the data modeling system. Effectively translates these contract requirements into functional mathematical models and tables. Translates and converts provider and facility data, along with documentation and reconciliation to the general systems database and disperses data to outside sources. Designs, verifies, audits, maintains and updates complex system data as well as combines business operating knowledge of financial, facility, and provider reporting metrics into optimal data elements. Contributes to the development and integration of external data feeds into the systems multiple applications or databases. Develops and implements logic methodologies to connect disparate data sources to meet business owner needs. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems information into the database design. Analyzes and revises existing system logic as necessary, as well as quality assurance review of all data. Collaborates with IT, EPIC, operational, and clinical teams to build system data into multiple applications and databases throughout the organization for the most efficient reporting. Effectively communicates both orally and in writing with internal and external customers, and functions as the data subject matter expert within the team. Devises or modifies processes to solve problems or limitations in the applications or databases - internal and external. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis activities. Reviews internal and external business owner needs, investigates solutions, and presents recommendations to leadership. Performs as team lead as assigned by leadership. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts. Serves as a liaison and resource for all users in the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing education of assigned systems. **This position has the opportunity to be a hybrid position. You will be asked to complete training at a Norton Healthcare facility and must be able to come in for business purposes.
