Overview

Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure platforms for delivering applications. To build and manage scalable, reliable, and reusable platforms, tools, and environments for application development, deployment, and operations. Perform work associated with IT infrastructure and systems administration to include installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of IT software and hardware systems, IT data/voice network systems, and internal databases. Develop information technology strategies, polices and plans. Ensure performance and resource availability of computers and other IT systems. Work independently to solve unique and highly complex problems that have broad impact on the business. Contribute to the development of functional strategy by recommending best practices and process improvements. Deep, specialized skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques. Recognized as an expert both within and beyond own function. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the most complex data, develop technical conclusions, and evaluate potential applicability of recommendations.
  • Conceive, plan, and research final technology solutions/products to guide development to fruition.
  • Develop, code, test, debug, and document the most complex platforms to achieve the objectives.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and security of databases.
  • Match organizational resources with client needs, monitor network performance, identify and resolve network problems.
  • Analyze, design, implement, operate, deploy, and support information technology resources (includes computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, data processing and security).
  • Lead cross-organizational initiatives to standardize technical practices and enhance platform resilience.
  • Troubleshoot problems and communicate status, findings and/or technical results; make recommendations and ensure implementation of compliance and communication protocols.
  • Upgrade network hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
  • Lead the development and enhancement of practices, procedures, and instructions
  • Lead complex technical projects and initiatives with significant impact across the business
  • Serve as lead technical resource for other team members; mentor and guide lower level staff on new and innovative techniques and strategies
  • Create and maintain infrastructure that supports application development (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).
  • Provide frameworks, libraries, and tools to standardize development and operations.
  • Manage cloud services, container orchestration, and virtualization.
  • Optimize platform reliability, scalability, and automation.
  • Enable developers to focus on building applications by abstracting complexities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in function.
  • Broad expertise in specialization and complete understanding of related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience with software and platform engineering concepts and methodologies and current development languages and methods.
  • Expert skill involving technical applications/languages, information technology or specialized engineering methods.
  • Extensive experience with Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Cloud Engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expert skill in scripting languages for automation tasks (Python, Bash).
  • Extensive experience with configuration management tools.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
  • Expert communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • 1+ years Pega Platform `24.1 experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures.
  • Pega System Architect Certification.
  • Pega Sr System Architect Certification.
  • Pega Lead System Architect Certification.
  • Pega Robotics System Architect Certification.
  • Pega Decisioning Consultant Certification.
  • Pega Platform `25.1 Experience.
