Job Description

The CMMS/MOLD Specialist will be responsible for managing mold stock transfer orders (STO's), multiple functions in SAP related to molds, and supporting efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems across the Amcor Beverage Division. This role requires effective collaboration with commercial, production, engineering, accounting, legal, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations and inventory control. The Specialist will focus on optimizing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and efficient activities related to the operations and manufacturing functions.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Mold STO Management: Execute and track mold stock transfer orders (STOs) to ensure accurate and timely movement of molds between facilities.
  • New Mold Introduction: Assist in coordinating the introduction of new molds into SAP, working with engineering and production teams.
  • Cost Monitoring: Monitor costs associated with maintenance, repairs, and procurement, and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations. This role has responsibility for adhering to the life cycle asset management process throughout the entire life cycle of assets.
  • Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes:
    • Value-added preventive maintenance tasks.
    • Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
  • Deliver year-over-year cost improvements through program management, and as a program leader, of CI work streams against defined savings/value goals

Skills:

  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of mold design, manufacturing processes, and maintenance practices.
  • Organization Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage many different areas.
  • Problem-Solving: Good problem-solving abilities to address issues related to equipment, molds, and all documentation in SAP.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Analytic Skills: Ability to analyze data and generate insights for process improvements and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering or related operations position along with 10 years of experience working in a continuous improvement format with accountability to deliver results.
  • Ability to lead/facilitate groups of people to an aligned outcome, or definition of opportunities
  • Experience managing to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience as a project coach
  • Experience in multi-functional projects using cross-functional teams with documented savings
  • Experience working across company lines with customers or suppliers
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software, inventory management systems, and ERP systems
  • Competency in Microsoft Office products; experience with inventory management software and ERP systems
  • Travel necessary, up to 80%

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 to $122,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $98,000 to $147,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
