Summary

The Key Account Regional Leader serves as the senior commercial leader for
QIAGEN's most strategic Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), hospital systems, and Clinical Life Science enterprise accounts across the Central Region. This role is accountable for driving regional growth, expanding enterprise partnerships, and maximizing the value of QIAGEN's full portfolio across complex healthcare and life science organizations.

This leader will directly lead and develop a team of Hospital System Executives (HSEs) and Key Account Managers (KAMs) responsible for enterprise-level account ownership and execution. The role combines regional strategy ownership, hands-on leadership, and cross-functional orchestration, ensuring customers experience QIAGEN as a unified, strategic partner across diagnostics and clinical life sciences. Success requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence across functions, and a proven track record of leading high-performing enterprise teams in complex healthcare environments.

Core Responsibilities

Regional Enterprise Strategy & Growth

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HSEs and KAMs, fostering a culture of strategic thinking, collaboration, and performance excellence.
  • Drive portfolio-level growth through enterprise contracting, menu expansion, automation, and workflow optimization aligned to customer priorities.

Cross-Functional & Portfolio Leadership

  • Serve as the regional enterprise quarterback, ensuring aligned engagement across Molecular Diagnostics, QuantiFERON, Genomics, Automation, and Clinical Life Science portfolios.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Operations..

Commercial Strategy & Contracting

  • Lead and support teams through complex enterprise negotiations, including multi-year agreements, pricing structures, volume commitments, and rebate frameworks.
  • Ensure disciplined, value-based selling practices across all enterprise accounts.
  • Escalate and resolve commercial, operational, or contractual risks impacting key customers.

Customer & Market Leadership

  • Maintain deep understanding of regional healthcare dynamics, clinical laboratory operations, and clinical life science workflows.
  • Guide teams to anticipate evolving customer needs and proactively position QIAGEN solutions.

Field Leadership & Executive Engagement

  • Lead by example through direct engagement with senior customer executives and regional decision-makers.
  • Support teams through joint field travel, executive sponsorship, and high-impact customer reviews.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in diagnostics, healthcare, or clinical life sciences, including 5+ years leading enterprise or strategic account teams.
  • Proven success leading HSEs, KAMs, or equivalent enterprise sales roles.
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen across diagnostics and clinical life sciences, including PCR, NGS, automation, syndromic testing, and enterprise lab workflows.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex enterprise contracting and portfolio-based selling.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and executive-level influencing skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Central Region (up to 75%).

The estimated base salary range for this position is $180,000-210,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a commission plan, annual bonus, and generous benefits.
