In the role of Senior Quality Engineer you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced QA/QC methodologies to address complex manufacturing challenges and enhance overall process quality. The position supports resolution of production issues and customer complaints while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The role also leads projects or major workstreams within large-scale initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality standards and sustainable operational performance.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Analyzes, evaluates and plans methods to resolve complex technical problems. Works to resolve customer problems. Develops internal corrective and preventative actions. Tracks and investigates details behind external customer complaints and internal non-conformances to assure effective root cause determination and communicate this information appropriately.
  • Implements sound quality practices in manufacturing and in the laboratory, including Statistical Process Control and Statistical Quality Control. Introduces and implements methodologies to ensure adequate monitoring and control of critical process variables and test methods that impact product properties, specifications, and performance (at customer locations). Responsible for necessary training in use of these techniques.
  • Develops the tracking and reporting of Quality metrics (relating to process capability, customer complaints, corrective actions, etc.). Supports the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure communication of any MOC issues that have a major impact on the quality of the product
  • Leads projects, coordinating efforts of technical support staff. Reviews project progress and evaluates results. Provides technical consultation and advice to technical staff.
  • Researches benchmarking references, incorporates "best practice" and implements procedures, work instructions, as appropriate.
  • Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region

What You Will Bring to Cabot:

  • Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance techniques and practices; manufacturing process controls; product uniformity and variation; QA/QC problem solving techniques; Statistical Process Control. Knowledge of ISO compliance; Cabot products and applications.
  • Ability to lead and implement change initiatives. Leadership skills to lead projects and team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to gather, analyze and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Inter-personal and customer service skills to interface with internal and external customers, discuss technical issues and find solutions.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor/University degree in Science or Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years technical experience in quality in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred
