Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Hampton, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting quick response and coverage across the property. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to on-site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor activity for suspicious behavior and potential theft indicators, document observations, and communicate with store personnel to support loss prevention efforts within post orders.
• Complete detailed written reports, maintain accurate incident logs, and perform security-related checks of doors, gates, and alarm points according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
