Join our team as a Project Accountant at Gorman & Company!

Are you an organized, detail-driven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? If you're tech-savvy, proactive, and ready to grow your expertise in project accounting, we'd love to connect.

What You'll Do

  • Set up, process, and reconcile construction project accounting, including full draw cycle management

  • Prepare and complete draws (including AIA documents) and reconcile estimates from prior draws

  • Reconcile job cost modules to the general ledger and accounts payable

  • Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring timely vendor payments and proper expense allocation

  • Maintain vendor records, 1099 information, lien waivers, and sales/use tax documentation

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and update variance and job cost reports

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, and leadership to keep projects financially on track

  • Assist with audit requests and special projects as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - or 5+ years of relatable accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles

  • Experience in project or construction accounting preferred

  • RealPage experience preferred

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Comfort with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to proactively ask questions and follow up

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000 - $75,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
