Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Driving Patrol in Sugar Land, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and requests, document observations, and communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing vehicle entry logs, and directing traffic flow as required by site rules.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and oncoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
