As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol - Campus in Nampa, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with a service-first approach. You will monitor assigned areas, report concerns, and communicate clearly while supporting a caring, integrity-driven team. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities across an education campus setting.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces during rounds, assisting with visitor directions, access questions, and reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations per post orders.
  • Complete detailed activity and incident reports, document patrol findings, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions with Allied Universal supervision and location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
