Job Description




As a Security Officer - Visitor Check-In in High Point, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, where you will manage access control, verify credentials and badges, and track visitor and contractor entry using a computer and/or tablet. You will remain a visible presence at key entry points, communicate clearly with site teams, and help reduce security-related incidents through consistent procedures and strong customer service. You will support a caring culture built on integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and/or drivers while following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entrances and gate points by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, and maintaining access logs per location requirements.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity, access violations, alarms and/or unauthorized persons, responding to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas and perimeter fencing as assigned, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or hazard concerns through the proper channels.
  • Complete security-related reports and daily activity logs, communicate post information during shift handoff, and use cameras, radios and/or other systems to support incident documentation and access control operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
