Security Guard - Roving Patrol Driver

As a Security Guard - Roving Patrol Driver in Annapolis, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests, tenants, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and help maintain a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall setting.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, loading and service areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards, and report observations through required documentation, radio communications, and escalation protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical situations, and/or alarms until additional resources arrive.
• Control access to restricted areas and support opening and closing routines, including checking doors and gates, verifying deliveries and vendors, and coordinating with store management as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
