With 3,800+ students living on campus, housing at CSUMB isn't just operations - it's central to the student experience. This fully onsite leadership role oversees East Campus Housing (Frederick Park, Schoonover Park, and CEHI properties) and sets the vision for safe, financially sound, high-performing residential communities.
This is more than property management.

You'll:
Lead Community Managers & Facilities Directors
Oversee operations, compliance, capital planning & financial performance
Shape housing standards and accountability
Navigate complex resident matters with professionalism
Partner with HR, Facilities, Corporation leadership & campus stakeholders
Influence a housing system that directly impacts student success
Compensation: $140,000-$160,000 + relocation support

Description: What you'll be doing Another Source's client, Cal State Monterey Bay (CSUMB), is recruiting a Property Manager, East Campus Housing to join their team in Monterey Bay, California. This is a fully onsite leadership opportunity overseeing one of the most residential campuses in the CSU system.

Located on the stunning central California coast, CSUMB is a welcoming, mission-driven campus community known for its commitment to student success, inclusivity, and hands-on learning. With more than 3,800 students living on campus, CSUMB is one of the most residential universities in the California State University system-creating a vibrant, active housing environment that plays a critical role in the student experience.
East Campus Apartments (also known as Frederick Park Apartments) form a unique residential community on CSUMB's East Campus. The two-bedroom, one-bath apartment homes offer comfortable accommodations with convenient access to classes and campus life via car, bike, or public transit. The surrounding neighborhood features playgrounds, athletic fields, hiking trails, jogging routes, and bike paths-making it an active and engaging environment for residents.
This role supports housing that is central to student life, community building, and the overall campus experience.
About this role:
The Property Manager, East Campus Housing provides strategic and operational leadership for Schoonover Park, Frederick Park, and CEHI properties. This is more than day-to-day property management-it's an opportunity to set vision, establish standards, and build accountability across housing operations while leading Community Managers and Facilities Directors.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for East Campus Housing, partnering closely with HR, Facilities, Corporation leadership, and campus stakeholders. This role ensures that housing operations are safe, compliant, financially sound, and centered on creating a positive and respectful residential environment.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000, commensurate with experience. Relocation packages are available.
