Security Officer - Patrol Operations

As a Security Officer - Patrol Operations in West Jefferson, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control while providing customer-focused assistance and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, team members, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and disruptive behavior.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail distribution location, including perimeter areas, parking areas, and dock doors as assigned.
• Monitor access points and shipping and receiving activity by observing for unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, and policy violations, and by reporting concerns through the chain of command.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, including incident reports, patrol documentation, and observations from CCTV and/or alarm systems when assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
