Raw Materials Inventory Clerk - Days
Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Hourly Range: $34.97

ROLE SUMMARY
This position maintains an accurate, up-to-date inventory control system. With minimal supervision, performs cycle counts by location and by item on all components and raw materials that flow through the plant. Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies in a timely fashion. Makes inventory adjustments in automated systems (SAP and WMS).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible to always promote a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility. Supports all plant safety policies and procedures always.
  • Performs daily cycle counts by item and by location.
  • Insures that all part numbers in the plant are counted within a 30-day period.
  • Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies with Planners, Accounting, QC, Production, Compounding and Receiving.
  • Updates WM during cycle counts by location after reconciling.
  • Participates in training programs as directed.
  • Identify and support cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Safely operates material handling equipment such as HI/LO and CLAMP type Fork Trucks.
  • Determines obsolete component and raw material inventories with planners.
  • Identifies and writes department SOPs.
  • Support and recommend continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
  • Promote fair and consistent adherence to all local and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Checks all IB receipts for completeness and accuracy on daily basis.
  • Assists Planner in clearing COGI and Idocs.
  • Coordinates all return shipments of empty fragrance totes.
  • Runs and completes Past Due Receipt Report at least once a week.
  • Utilizes SAP, WMS and all office suite applications to perform all requirements of the job including analytical reporting and data analysis.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 2-3 years previous experience in inventory management preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • In-depth knowledge of inventory operations
  • Fork lift experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills (SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and WMS)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media such as verbal, written, etc.
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic, production driven work environment.
  • Solid critical thinking skills and ability to create new, innovative ways to handle situations with a strong bias towards Continuous Improvement fundamentals.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, etc.). Working knowledge of SAP and WMS a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of production operation, including equipment, materials, work flow, etc.
  • General Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and requirements.
  • Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
  • Demonstrates an attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and in store room management.
  • Ability to take and follow directions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong math skills required
