About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Azure DevOps Engineer to join us. A technically accomplished Azure DevOps Engineer with DataOps experience to design, configure, and deploy GMCB's end-to-end DevOps and DataOps platform. The ideal candidate will transform Azure DevOps into the central operational backbone integrating Agile workflows, Databricks data pipelines, SharePoint knowledge management, Power BI reporting, and automated governance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Deliver the ADO Environment Current-State Assessment Report identifying gaps in configurations, pipelines, and workflow structures (Deliverable A1)
  • Develop and execute the ADO Configuration Modernization Plan; implement updated ADO configurations including work item hierarchies, custom fields, sprint boards, and Kanban views (Deliverables A2/A3)
  • Design and deploy reusable CI/CD pipeline templates for Azure Databricks notebook deployment, data validation, and automated reporting (Deliverable A5)
  • Configure end-to-end DataOps integration: ADO Repos Databricks notebooks automated Power BI dashboard refresh - reducing manual effort by 80%+ through workflow automation
  • Build Power Automate workflows for governance approvals, policy triggers, and document routing integrated with ADO and SharePoint
  • Design and deploy GMCB's SharePoint Knowledge Management Library including architecture, document taxonomy, metadata schema, and content migration (Deliverables C1/C2)
  • Develop ADO Analytics dashboards for sprint velocity, governance compliance, data quality, and operational KPIs
  • Implement traceable work item linkage between ADO Epic-Feature-Story-Task structures and Azure Databricks development artifacts
  • Develop the ADO Integration Deployment Package including configuration documentation, runbooks, and administrator guides (Deliverable A5)
  • Support Agile pilot sprints by configuring and validating ADO Board workflows; provide hands-on technical support during adoption phase


Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: Minimum 6 to 9 Years

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience configuring Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Wikis, Analytics) in enterprise or government environments
  • Proficiency with Azure Databricks including notebook versioning, CI/CD integration, and pipeline orchestration
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using ADO Pipelines with YAML templates
  • Proficiency with Power Automate for workflow automation, approval routing, and cross-system integration
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards with automated data refresh from ADO and Databricks sources
  • SharePoint Online design and administration experience including taxonomy, metadata management, and governance library configuration
  • Microsoft DevOps or Azure certifications (AZ-400, AZ-204, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with DataOps principles, data pipeline automation, and Agile-integrated development practices in regulated data environments
  • Experience working in state government or healthcare regulatory IT environments a plus
