Job Description




As a Security Officer - Overnight Mobile Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will conduct routine patrols across the site, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control and badging, and document activity using site technology. Bring strong communication and a service mindset as you work with teammates to keep operations moving with integrity, reliability, and care.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, managing visitor and vendor check-in and/or check-out, and assisting with key control or badge procedures as required by site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and medical or fire-related events, and notify supervisors and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs, document patrol observations and incident details, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
